It all started when Michelle adopted her dog, Klaus. Adopting Klaus turned out to be much more than providing a loving home to a rescue dog. It’s been an eye-opening, educational journey into the world of canine mental health and behavior to help an anxious, fearful dog navigate his big feelings about the world and lead a fulfilling life.
What started as a search for guidance has become a passion to support organizations that provide essential resources for similar dogs and their owners.
A local rescue that saves dogs from gassing shelters in the south and fosters them in Pennsylvania until they find their forever home.
Wags Rescue and Referral
A donation-based program that helps behaviorally and emotionally complex dogs and their companions build a supportive and safe life together.
Speckled Hearts Project
The first humane society established in North America and dedicated to the prevention of animal cruelty throughout the United States.
